Beautiful art of healing through restoration of our wholeness – Naturopathy
Are you looking for a natural and holistic approach to health and wellness? Naturopathy may be just what you need. Naturopathy is a form of alternative medicine that focuses on using natural remedies and therapies to promote healing and balance in the body.
At the heart of naturopathic medicine is the belief that the body has an innate ability to heal itself, and that by supporting the body’s natural healing processes, we can promote optimal health and well-being. Naturopathy practitioners use a variety of techniques and therapies to address a wide range of health concerns, from chronic pain and digestive issues to stress and anxiety.
One of the key principles of naturopathy is the importance of treating the whole person – not just their symptoms. This means taking into account a person’s physical, emotional, and spiritual health, as well as their lifestyle and environmental factors, when developing a treatment plan. By addressing the root causes of health issues and supporting the body’s natural healing processes, naturopathy can help to promote long-lasting health and wellness.
Naturopathic philosophy – nature law of cure
Some of the therapies commonly used in naturopathy include:
- Herbal medicine: the use of plants and plant-based remedies to promote healing and balance in the body.
- Nutrition counselling: the use of dietary changes and supplements to support optimal health and address specific health concerns.
- Acupuncture: a traditional Chinese medicine technique that involves the use of needles to stimulate specific points on the body, promoting balance and healing.
- Homeopathy: the use of highly diluted substances to stimulate the body’s natural healing processes.
- Lifestyle counselling: the use of education and coaching to help clients make positive changes in their lifestyle habits and environment.

The naturopathic view is that the whole is greater than the sum of impaired parts. Mending the broken part will not necessarily have beneficial influence on the whole; however, if the whole is treated, the parts will often mend themselves.
The individual is unique; each person responds differently to health disorders. That is, individuals experience life’s challenges in their own ways, and manifest health symptoms differently. While similarities can exist, each of us has a unique way of growing, living, and thinking.
Ailments should not be supressed. Manifested health symptoms are there for a reason: they are signals of the Natural healing force. For example, if we take a rusted car out of the rain and into shelter, the corrosion will not disappear; it will slow down but continue to spread to other parts of the car. Similarly, if we paint over mould on the wall, the mould will be out of view for a while, but it will come back and likely it will come worse than before.
If the root cause is left untreated, it can resurface even years later again as a more serious health concern. Therefore, it is important to investigate the root cause of symptoms, rather than just focusing on symptoms alone.
Prevention is superior to cure. Prevention is everyone’s responsibility. A common analogy is that when babies learn to crawl, it is better to prevent accidents than to cure the resulting injuries. Likewise, when rainy days are here, it is better to drive slowly (even at the risk of being late), than to cause a car accident. Health prevention works with the same law of avoidance, to achieve and maintain balance before the body signals that there is a problem.
What people are saying
I went to Martina with 2 issues – arm limited mobility and stomach pain.I had my arm broken a couple of years ago but due to the whole C19 situation I couldn’t have proper physiotherapy and that led to a frozen shoulder syndrome and the inability to lift my arm over the 90-degree horizontal. Within 6 sessions of acupuncture and electroacupuncture I could lift my arm all the way up without any effort and make full circles with my arm again. I couldn’t believe I only needed 6 sessions to get there. Martina worked some magic. As to my stomach issue, she worked on some blocked energy, recommended a couple of minor changes in my diet ‘et voila’ – no more pain and bloating, and I even lost a few pounds. Martina is a miracle worker. She puts the acupuncture needles so quickly and at the same time gently that you barely feel them and the results are amazing. If you need acupuncture – Martina is your best choice
I was diagnosed with chronic ulcerative colitis a year and half ago, which I am now on very strong medications oral and intravenous to keep my condition under control. I suffered a lot with joint pain especially in feet and hands, constant fatigue, numerous bowel movements a day, hair loss and a restricted diet so I tried acupuncture.
My first visit with Martina was discussing my health along with acupuncture. Martina requested me to detox for 4 weeks, week 1 diet was extremely difficult but as the weeks followed it got easier as I was introducing foods which helped my body and condition. After the 2nd week I noticed the pain in my hands had gone and reduced in my feet. I now have completed the 4 week detox and I feel better in myself and not as tired as before. Martina showed me a new way of eating foods to suit my condition plus healthy foods for my body and I haven’t looked back, would highly recommend visiting Martina .
Thanks again Martina
