Martina’s experience
Martina Vengrin is a passionate Naturopath, Acupuncturist, and Energetic Alchemy Coach. She completed four years of study at the College of Naturopathic Medicine (CNM) in Dublin.
Martina specialises in digestive and gastrointestinal disorders, women’s health and fertility, chronic and acute pain, stress, anxiety, PTSD, insomnia, sinus problems, and hay fever.
Her practice combines integrative medicine with knowledge of biomedicine, drawing on her expertise in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), Acupuncture, Naturopathy, and Energetic Alchemy.
She believes that true healing and wellbeing go beyond the absence of disease. Healing occurs when there is harmony between the physical and subtle bodies, allowing the body, mind, emotions, and soul to work together as one.
Martina also brings many years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry. During consultations, she takes into account any medications a patient may be taking, including their potential side effects and interactions.
Depending on each individual’s needs and goals, Martina offers a personalised combination of Acupuncture, Electro-Acupuncture, Moxibustion, Cupping, TCM dietary advice, Naturopathic consultations (including nutrition and supplement guidance), Functional Medicine Testing (FMC), and Energetic Alchemy.
My journey
“A few years ago, when I began experiencing health issues of my own, I discovered acupuncture and was amazed by the benefits I experienced. When I also adjusted my diet and lifestyle, the improvements became even more noticeable.
Having worked for many years in both the retail and corporate pharmaceutical sectors, alongside conventional medicine, I was surprised to discover an entirely different approach to health that had existed for thousands of years, yet one I had never previously explored.
This marked the beginning of my journey into Traditional Chinese Medicine and Naturopathy.
I genuinely believe that there are ways to address many health concerns. Through Eastern medicine, often combined with Western functional naturopathic approaches, I have found answers to many of my own health-related questions, as well as those of my patients.
I often compare bodily symptoms to the branches of a tree. To support lasting wellbeing, we need to look beyond the branches and understand what is happening at the roots. By identifying and addressing underlying imbalances, we can help the body regain its natural vitality and balance.
I am also passionate about food, particularly the thermal properties and potential health benefits of individual ingredients.
For example, if your car runs on petrol but you fill it with diesel, it will not function properly. Similarly, eating foods that are not suited to your individual needs — even if they are considered healthy for someone else — may not provide the nourishment and benefits your body requires.
I believe that understanding your unique constitution, lifestyle, and nutritional needs is an essential part of achieving better health and wellbeing.”
